walking into my 40's like...

What better way to celebrate one's 40th birthday than in a Packard made in Detroit in the 40's?! Both my husband Rick and I are in love with Detroit and it's rich history. The Packard plant opened in 1903 and at that time it was seen as the most high tech automobile manufacturing facility in the world. It is a dream of mine to own a vintage luxury car one day. Maybe someone wants to gift me one for my 40th?, just saying. But until then, I was extremely happy to be able to have the most incredible photo session in one of these vintage beauties. "Beau" - a dashing, sleek black Packard from the 40's was the perfect accessory to our great day spent in the Detroit area.

Amongst the historic houses located at W. Canfield and 2nd, and the iconic Chrysler and Fisher buildings, "Beau" was definitely the highlight of the day.

Living in style is easy when you have the most wonderful team of vendors.

Kymberly https://www.instagram.com/motorcityvintagerentals https://www.motorcityvintagerentals.com is a very knowledgeable coordinator. She did not only provide us with "Beau", but she also found all the above mentioned locations, she helped setting up for the shoot, styled poses, and recorded videos throughout the photo session.

This day wouldn't have been possible though without the incredible talent of our friend Constantin Manolescu https://www.instagram.com/manolescuolivia/. Constantin is the most incredible photographer. His patience and attention to detail, made my husband and I feel extra special. Together with his wife Olivia, Constantin made sure my 40th birthday styled photo shoot is one to never forget.

From hair to makeup, to nails and outfit my desire was to bring the 40's style back to life.

Olivia https://www.instagram.com/oliviarose.hair/ always does a wonderful job at setting me up with the best shade of blond.

Simona https://www.instagram.com/simonavigh.hairdesign/ nailed the 40's curves to precision.

Raghad https://www.instagram.com/flawless_makeover_/ did magic with my makeup. The red lipstick added a splash of glamour to my 40's look.

All I can say is, after a glamorous day spent in Detroit, the 40's are not half bad so far.
